Beginner Clay Hand building Workshop – 3 hour duration  – This is a beginner friendly class.  

You will learn the fundamentals of hand building including shaping, joining and moulding clay with your hands. You will create two of your own unique pottery pieces. Due to clay drying times and firing requirements, you won’t be able to glaze your work during the workshop, however Kate will glaze your pieces in your chosen colours. This process can take up to three weeks and we will arrange delivery at that time.  

What to bring  

  • Apron  
  • Old towel 
  • You should come dressed comfortably in clothing you don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Beginner Kokedama Moss Ball Workshop  2-3 hours duration This is a beginner friendly class.  

You will learn how to create your very own Kokedama (Japanese Moss Ball) that you can take home and enjoy. You’ll make two Kokedama, one using Moss and one using hessian. Plants will be provided, however if you’d like to bring your own plant – small orchids, succulents and ferns are ideal.

Beginner Macrame Pot Plant Hanger Workshop  2-3 hours duration  – This is a beginner friendly class.  

You will learn how to make a medium sized macrame pot plant hanger. This workshop is a great introduction or refresher to macrame that will help you build skills to make more complex macrame items.

Beginner Raffia Coaster Workshop  2-3 hours duration  – This is a beginner friendly class 

Learn how to weave raffia coasters, a great introduction to raffia that will help you to build the skills necessary to make more complex raffia pieces.  

What to bring  – Just your Nimble fingers

  • A set of coasters, a large place mat or both depending on how quickly you pick up the techniques. 

 

Felted Scarf

Beginner Nuno Felted Scarf Workshop  3- 4 hours duration  -  This is a beginner friendly class.  

Nuno felting is a simple felting technique used to create beautiful one-of-a-kind, totally unique fibre masterpieces.  This workshop will teach you how to felt wool fibre onto a piece of silk chiffon  to create a beautiful, unique, lightweight scarf. We will provide chiffon fabric for you, however if you’d like to bring your own scarf to upcycle with a new life – chiffon or silk fabrics are perfect.
